The Bachelor of Arts degree in English requires the completion of at least one course from five of the six major content areas: British Literature, American Literature, World Literature, Linguistics and Criticism, and Composition. ENG 209 (required of all BA majors) may be used to complete the Criticism area.
In addition, all BA majors must complete a concentration by taking at least two additional courses from within one of the major content areas and two elective courses (any English major course except ENG 498). All BA majors are further required to complete ENG 498, Senior English Seminar.
Courses marked with ** may be
repeated for credit under different topics.
