"I’m a New Yorker by upbringing, but have spent most of my adult life outside of New York: in Ann Arbor (undergraduate in comparative literature), in Morocco (Peace Corps Volunteer), in Beijing (foreign expert for Xinhua News Agency), in south Texas (fun!), in Austin (graduate school), now here in Kirksville. I have two young children, and hence no time for hobbies anymore."
