started teaching at Truman in 1983. Dr. Richter specializes
in and teaches Linguistics--Intro to Linguistics, Phonetics and Phonology,
Syntax, Semantics, and Discourse Analysis. His current research interests
are the Syntax of Tocharian, and Discourse Analysis Theory.

California, and completed my PhD in Linguistics at
UCSD. Perfecting my Tocharian, Greek, Spanish...is a lifetime project (as is
learning all the piano parts for Brahms' chamber music)."
