is a GTRA in English. Her current interests include environmental
education/advocacy/journalism, consumer education/ media criticism, and
sustainable agriculture.
Cassie says: “I received my undergraduate degree from
Truman in Art (fiber Arts) and I have minors in Environmental Studies and
Italian Studies. In pursuing my graduate degree in English, I hope to
establish and refine effective methods of communicating with a broad range
of people about the pressing issues of our day through the written word.”
A favorite book of Cassie’s is Barbara Kingsolver’s Small Wonder.
